Quality Improvement Director

Position Summary
South County Mental Health Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Quality Improvement Director to lead agency-wide performance improvement and compliance initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality management systems to ensure excellence in patient care and adherence to regulatory standards. The Director works with a high degree of independence while collaborating with leadership and department teams to drive continuous improvement, manage risk, and support organizational goals. This role is critical in promoting a culture of quality, safety, and accountability across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Health Administration, or related field (required)
  • 3+ years of experience in quality improvement, compliance, or risk management (required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and documentation systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • License in LMHC or Risk Management
  • Health administration background
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, state and federal requirements)

Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Improvement Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the organization’s Quality Improvement (QI) program
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives across departments
  • Ensure continuous readiness for accreditation and regulatory reviews
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and accreditation standards
  • Investigate incidents, track trends, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee risk management processes and patient safety initiatives
  • Maintain policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements
Data Analysis & Reporting          
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making
  • Prepare and present reports to leadership on quality outcomes and trends
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmark results
Training & Collaboration
  • Educate and train staff on quality improvement practices and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with department leaders to implement best practices
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Audits & Reviews
  • Conduct internal audits, chart reviews, and program evaluations
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
  • Coordinate external audits and accreditation surveys

  • Compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting and audits
  • Reduction of risk and incident trends
  • Collaboration with leadership and department teams
  • Organizational readiness for surveys and inspections

Schedule & Work Details
Full-Time Position
Schedule: Monday – Friday (hours may vary based on organizational needs)
Location: In-person (Delray Beach, FL)
Salary: $90,000
