Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Filing T2s and T5013 returns in Wolters Kluwer’s Tax Prep and Tax Forms applications.
• Preparing the working papers for the T2s and T5013, T106s.
• Preparing the T2, T5013, T106, T5, T4A-NR, T4A, returns (including Quebec and Alberta equivalents, where applicable)
• Reconciliation and filing of sales tax - GST, QST, PST
• Reconciliation and filing of withholding tax - NR4s
• Producing journal entries related to tax
• Assisting with CIT provisions
• Ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager
• This also includes the respective Quebec and Alberta filings if applicable. Schedules they should be familiar with , 1-6,8,9,13. The schedule list in non-exhaustive.
• Has excellent knowledge of local tax jurisdiction, accounting principles and legal principles.
• Has amazing attention for detail and are able to effortlessly juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and reaching organizational goals.  

Skills:

• Wolters Kluwer TaxPrep and Tax Forms,
• Transitioning to SAP,
• corporate and partnership tax returns (T2, T5013) using TaxPrep,
• Canadian corporate tax laws and tax schedules.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree (4 year)       
• BS in accounting or equivalent
• Minimum Years of Experience: 3-7 years
