Job Description

Position: Scrum Master / Agile Specialist (Contract Remote)

We are currently partnering with a leading organization in the bio-pharmaceutical industry for a 12-month contract opportunity.

Note: Candidates must have prior experience in Pharma, Biotech, Medical Device, or Healthcare domains.

Role Overview

The Agile Specialist will work closely with the Senior Manager, Agile Practices and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address key technical challenges and drive Agile excellence across teams.

  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Contract Duration: 12 Months
  • Work Schedule: Monday Friday
  • Core Hours: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM (Pacific Time); flexibility outside core hours based on U.S. time zones
  • Travel: Not required

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and enhance continuous planning with visibility into rolling quarterly plans
  • Manage engineering schedules, resource allocation, and milestone tracking
  • Monitor project dependencies, deliverables, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery
  • Identify and remove impediments affecting team progress
  • Facilitate communication across teams, departments, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and PMO teams to prioritize and manage backlogs
  • Ensure availability of product requirements and UX designs for development teams
  • Act as a liaison between development teams and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Promote Agile best practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage Jira and related tools for tracking and reporting
  • Provide Agile metrics such as burndown charts and velocity tracking
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a high degree of adaptability
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and similar tools
