Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to support a high-performance, regulated defense environment. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, federal regulations, and internal safety policies. The EHS Officer will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance across operational and facility environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance: Develop and maintain EHS programs; conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Training & Communication: Deliver safety training and communicate regulatory updates clearly to employees across multiple functions.
Risk Management: Identify workplace hazards, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure safe handling/storage of regulated materials.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations and facilities teams to ensure safety integration across all activities.
U.S. Citizenship (Mandatory).
Experience Requirements: High School/GED (20+ yrs), Associate's (14+ yrs), Bachelor's (12+ yrs), or Master's (10+ yrs).
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and EHS regulatory frameworks.
Ability to perform physical duties (lifting up to 40 lbs, climbing ladders).
Certification Requirement (Must hold one): CSP, ASP, OHST, or equivalent recognized EHS certification.
Extensive experience in environmental health and safety or industrial safety.
Experience in government, defense, or highly regulated environments.
Strong leadership, training delivery, and problem-solving skills.
