Position Overview

In this role, you’ll operate a scale weighing aggregate trucks and help our customers as they pick up products. This is a seasonal position with a partial to full reduction in hours for 2 – 4 months during the winter season.

Wage: $23.00 – $26.00/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Ensure efficiency of weighing trucks across scale.
• Monitor and weigh legal loads for internal and external customer vehicles
• Provide high level customer service to all business at pit locations
• Cash procedures i.e.: Required to receive and log cash from C.O.D. sales, concrete, and gravel tickets. Required to balance and maintain cash box. Credit card handling, virtual cash bag, and cash daily balance required.
• Communicate with loader operator via two-way radio to accomplish the loading of pick-up customers.
• Greet and assist visitors entering yard. Ensure site specific safety rules are understood and followed.
• Collect and sort aggregate and concrete delivery tickets
• Scan delivery tickets into computer system, email of tickets to specific customers as needed.
• Maintain MSHA Part 46 Log ensuring compliance.
• Regular and timely attendance r equired
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor to meet business needs.
• Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
• Ability to work well independently or in a team environment

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform work efficiently utilizing a computer, as well as basic math skill
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel via telephone and two-way radio.
• Demonstrates high level organizational skills.
• High attention to detail is required.
• Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass pre-employment controlled substance testing. Per RCW 49.44.240 this position has been identified by the employer as non-safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that does not include testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites.
• Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
• Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.

Preferred Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience in customer service experience is preferred.
