The State of New Hampshire, Department of Education, Division of Learner Support & Bureau of Instructional Support has a full-time vacancy for an Education Consultant.
Summary:
To implement, initiate, coordinate and monitor the Federal Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA) Title IV, Part B, 21st Century Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program for compliance with federal and state regulation by reviewing recommendation, interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and planning and promoting short- and long-term goals or strategies to support schools, districts, and community-based organizations in program implementation.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience : Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 9 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in education, adult education, education administration, elementary education, secondary education, curriculum and instruction or psychology and experience working with disadvantaged populations.

Responsibilities:
DETAILED TASKS (AGENCY/POSITION-SPECIFIC):
Conducts 21st CCLC program monitoring and evaluations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Develops and implements the 21st CCLC program. Maintains oversight of the fiscal management of the Federal Title IV, Part B grant, compiles necessary data for federal reporting, disseminates information, and attends national and Federal training sessions.
Analyzes and interprets federal and state legislation and regulations for the purpose of implementing the 21st CCLC program and to ensure compliance with accepted state and Federal policies or regulations.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts statewide professional development and technical assistance for schools, districts, and community-based organizations to support the development of high-quality afterschool programs and create a stronger understanding and better practices in the field.
Distributes request for proposals (RFP’s), coordinates, reviews, and develops contracts with public and private agencies to further support the mission and goals of the 21st CCLC statewide professional development and improvement planning.
Distributes request for applications (RFA’s), organizes peer reviews and approves grants with applicant districts and community-based organizations.
Maintains oversight of the fiscal management of the Federal Title IV, Part B grant, compiles necessary data for federal reporting, disseminates information, and attends national and Federal training sessions.
Evaluates work performance of subordinate employees at least once per year, including assessing training needs for the purpose of staff development.
