Audit Manager

Direct Hire / Full-Time
HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Audit Manager on behalf of a valued client partner. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this Audit Manager opportunity.
We are seeking an experienced public accounting leader who can independently manage audit and review engagements, lead teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This role requires technical audit depth, strong client communication skills, and a proven track record of stability and ownership in a firm environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead audit and review engagements from planning through final delivery
  • Manage client relationships as a primary point of contact throughout engagements
  • Oversee engagements for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations
  • Supervise, mentor, and review work prepared by senior and junior audit staff
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with professional standards and firm methodology
  • Partner with leadership on scheduling, staffing, risk areas, and engagement execution
  • Identify issues proactively and guide timely resolution
  • Improve consistency, workflow efficiency, and service quality within the audit practice
  • Support broader firm initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications (Highly Important)
  • 6–10+ years of public accounting audit experience
  • Prior experience in an Audit Manager role required
  • Must have held the Audit Manager title for at least 3 years at current firm
  • Strong experience managing audits and reviews for for-profit and nonprofit clients
  • Active CPA license required
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple engagements and deadlines
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Stable employment history with minimal job changes strongly preferred
  • Ability to work onsite in Lincolnshire, IL

HireNow Package
  • Base Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 (depending on experience)
  • Additional Earnings Potential: Based on client responsibility and engagement ownership
