Job Description

Salary: $89,700 - 149,500 per year Requirements:

  • We typically require a degree or equivalent experience, plus 7+ years of relevant background.
  • We look for 7+ years of professional experience in progressively senior data science and applied AI/ML roles.
  • We need strong expertise in forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, risk modeling, and statistical methods.
  • We expect experience working with financial data such as accounts receivable/accounts payable, general ledger, and contracts.
  • We require proven hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
  • We value a solid understanding of modern digital architectures, APIs, cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and software development practices.
  • We need someone who can clearly explain model results to non-technical audiences.
  • We prefer experience implementing agent workflows and/or LLM-enhanced analytics.
  • We value exposure to SOX, audit, or financial control environments.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or complex B2B finance is an advantage.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to ERP or finance systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
  • We lead the design and execution of advanced analytics and AI solutions for selected Oncology & Multispecialty Finance use cases.
  • We develop forecasting, anomaly detection, scenario modeling, entity extraction, and agentic workflow models.
  • We assess upstream data sources, data quality, and readiness, and engineer features from transactional, contract, and time-series data.
  • We apply statistical validation to measure improvement against legacy approaches.
  • We partner with machine learning engineering support to prepare models for production and implement monitoring, drift detection, and retraining plans.
  • We work with the Technical Product Manager and Lead Data Scientist to define scope, success metrics, and iteration plans.
  • We ensure explainability and auditability where needed for finance and SOX contexts.
  • We translate business needs into technical model logic.
  • We collaborate with Finance subject matter experts to validate assumptions, interpret outputs, and refine solutions based on real-world constraints.
  • We build trusted relationships with stakeholders across business teams, data engineering, and executive leadership.
  • We resolve issues that arise during user acceptance testing in an organized way.
  • We communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to product leadership and escalate when support is needed.
  • We create and maintain documentation such as technical specifications, release notes, and user guides.
