Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department | Utica, NY | Start 05/25/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $2,229–$2,265 per week | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Day shift, 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (block scheduling is not guaranteed) | Emergency Department in a high-volume care environment. Local rate available for applicants within 75 miles.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED for adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients, including triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and reassessment
- Administer medications and therapies per orders; assist with rapid response, trauma, and critical care interventions as needed
- Document all aspects of patient care in EPIC EMR accurately and timely; communicate changes and dispositions to the care team
- Work with physicians, PAs, nurses, techs, social workers, and case managers to coordinate patient flow, admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, provide family education, and escalate concerns promptly in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate flexibility by floating to related ED areas as needed while maintaining competency and safety standards

Requirements
- Active NY RN license with NURSYS verification
- 2+ years of ED experience, with some pediatric exposure; documented travel experience preferred
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- EPIC EMR experience; demonstrated ability to document in a high-volume ED
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO must be included at time of submission; ability to float to related ED areas as needed
