Overview
Registered Nurse – ER, Saint Louis, MO, United States. Start date 06/01/2026 for a 13-week minimum travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,912–$1,984 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights (3×12-hour shifts). Setting: Emergency Department in an acute care environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for ED patients across age groups (neonates through geriatrics), including pediatrics.
- Perform triage and initial assessments; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs; identify and respond to dysrhythmias; participate in STEMI and stroke care pathways.
- Manage airway and ventilator/ventilation support (including BiPAP/CPAP) as needed; administer medications and IV therapies; fluids and blood product administration.
- Establish and maintain IV access, administer vasopressors, and provide central line care when applicable.
- Perform procedures such as chest tube management; monitor procedural sedation; respond to trauma, overdose, seizures, and behavioral/psychiatric emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation Services, Unit Secretary) to coordinate care; document thoroughly in EPIC.
- Maintain patient safety and de-escalate violent or agitated situations as required; manage psychiatric holds when necessary.
- Maintain flexibility to float within the hospital/service line and to affiliates to meet patient care needs.
- Work schedule includes every third weekend; no on-call requirement; RTO not allowed in the first week.

Requirements
- Licensure: Active Missouri RN license required or eligibility per state regulations
- Experience: Minimum 2 years RN ER experience; travel experience required; first-timers not accepted
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH (NIHSS), PALS required; CPI and TNCC preferred; ACLS required by compliance hard-document deadline
- Technology: EPIC experience required
- Immunizations: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Skills: Strong triage, airway management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and trauma/ED resuscitation skills; ability to start/maintain IVs, administer blood products, and monitor ventilated patients
- Onboarding: Pre-start modules and labs required within specified timelines (WorkRamp; labs within 48–72 hours of signing)
- Interdisciplinary care: Ability to work within high-volume ED with all ages; float within scope as needed
- Compliance: No RTO in first week; 75-mile local radius rule applies
- Documentation: EPIC charting experience required
