Job Title: Sports Multimedia Journalist - WFXT TV
Boston 25 News (WFXT) has an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Sports Multimedia Journalist. We are looking for a self-starter who can fill a variety of roles in our lineup, covering Boston’s legendary pro franchises, historic colleges, and robust high school sports scene. Did we mention the 2026 World Cup, right in our backyard?
In this position, you will be required to produce daily content on a variety of platforms, including broadcast, digital, and social media, along with other duties as assigned by the news managers. You may work with a photographer or occasionally shoot stories on your own. It is essential to possess strong writing skills, knowledge of current events, and a passion for sports. You will be required to stay abreast of the main sports angles of the day, pitch enterprise stories and compelling features, and help guide the producers on how best to use your content. Dynamic live television and storytelling skills are a must. You may also be assigned to produce and anchor live sportscasts.
The hourly range for this role is $40.87 per hour to $52.88 per hour.
