Department: North 6Are you passionate about helping others and looking to grow your career in hospital patient care? Join our team as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and play an important role in supporting nurses while delivering compassionate care to patients.
In this role, you will work under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel to assist with essential patient care responsibilities. Care is delivered in accordance with the standards and philosophy of the Nursing Services Department, as well as all hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
This position is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in nursing, healthcare, patient care, or clinical support roles.
As a Hospital Patient Care Technician, you will assist the clinical care team with important direct patient care duties, including:
• Supporting nurses with basic patient care needs and comfort measures
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) as directed by nursing staff
• Monitoring patients and communicating observations to Registered Nurses
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
• Providing compassionate customer service to patients and families
• Documenting patient information using electronic medical record systems
Your role helps ensure patients receive attentive, safe, and supportive care.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program strongly preferred
• Minimum one year of acute care experience or medical surgical clinical experience preferred
• BLS Certification – Healthcare Provider required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification strongly preferred

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Basic computer and electronic documentation skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to maintain confidential patient information (HIPAA compliance)
