Leidos, Dynetics Group is seeking a talented Junior Aviation Systems Embedded Software Engineer to join a multi-discipline engineering team developing software for aviation systems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, we provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions. As a member of the team, you will work closely with electronics integrated into a diverse range of aerospace and military systems including manned/unmanned ground/air vehicles, missiles, defensive radars, and space systems.

You'll be responsible for developing robust software solutions. Your primary job function will include implementing and testing embedded software solutions targeting microprocessors, SoCs, and FPGAs. You'll support resolution of technical issues discovered during the development, integration, and test of deliverable products. You'll have the opportunity to join forces and partner with other engineers and developers, project managers, technicians, and the customer to develop solutions adhering to a diverse set of requirements. You'll be mentored by Senior Software Engineers on your team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must possess or be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mathematics from an ABET Accredited University with minimum 4 years' experience.
  • Demonstrate competency in software development in the C and C++ programming languages.
  • Hands-on lab experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods for software and hardware.
  • Capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Have a passion for good object-oriented software design techniques.
  • Willingness to participate in and contribute to software design and code reviews.
  • Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
