General Job Description:

Job Title: Mechanical Assemblers

Shift: 1st

Department: Technibus Assembly

Reports To: Assembly Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work in a group with 2-3 other employees on a project at times and independently at others.
  • Lift and install sheet metal panels/copper bus with other employees (these panels range in weight, but I would estimate around 50-70lbs on average)
  • Open to overtime /Saturdays when required (rarely)

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Be able to use hand tools (dead blow hammer, battery operated impact driver, drill, wrenches, etc.)
  • Punctuality

  • Self-Motivated

 

Specific Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in a production environment preferred
  • Personal Protection Equipment Training (PPE), Global Harmonization System Training (GHS), Lock Out- Tag Out Training, (LOTO)
  • Onsite training available
  • Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification
  • Onsite training available

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment
