Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop creative and functional interior design solutions.
  • Support projects through all design phases, including concept development, documentation, and construction administration.
  • Select finishes, fixtures, materials, and equipment based on project requirements, design intent, budget, and performance criteria.
  • Present finish selections and design concepts to project teams and clients/owners.
  • Incorporate approved finishes and design elements into construction documents and project specifications.
  • Develop detailed interior design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Review applicable building codes and standards to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support project communication.
  • Conduct site visits as needed and prepare construction observation reports.
  • Represent the firm professionally and contribute positively to team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program preferred.
  • NCIDQ Certification is preferred.
  • Interior Design registration in at least one U.S. state is highly desired but not required.
  • LEED AP certification is a plus.
  • Relevant interior design experience, including internship experience.
  • Ability to conceptualize interior design solutions and develop construction documents for implementation.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and graphic design skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, and rendering software such as Lumion, V-Ray, or Enscape is a plus.

  • Full-time, on-site position.
  • Location: South Bend, Indiana.
