Working under general supervision of the Administrator in the Standards and Curricular Guidance Unit and the Director of the Curriculum Frameworks and Instructional Resources Division, the Education Programs Assistant/ Education Programs Consultant (EPA/EPC) will have primary responsibility for carrying out the following duties:
• Serve as lead for framework development projects, instructional materials adoptions, and/or model curriculum projects for subject areas as assigned
• Serve as staff support to the Instructional Quality Commission (IQC), Curriculum Framework and Evaluation Criteria Committees (CFCCs), Model Curriculum Advisory Committees (MCACs), and/or instructional materials adoption review panels
• Oversee the workload of the development team of analysts and support staff for each assigned project
• Serve as liaison to the IQC’s subject matter committees (SMCs) for each relevant project
• Organize SMC, CFCC, and MCAC meetings, adoption trainings and/or deliberations, develop meeting agendas, and provide materials and support the effective functioning of the CFCC, MCAC, or adoption review panels
• Participate in regular California Department of Education meetings, provide status reports as required by the division director and unit manager, and collaborate with other staff to address Department goals and initiatives

TELEWORK OPTION
HYBRID
This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. Currently, the hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
